Scanalytics at Hannover Messe 2025: Innovation, Collaboration, on a Global Stage

Scanalytics with the Wisconsin team: Governor, partner companies & WEDC reps!

As the hum of autonomous robots echoed through the halls and digital twins danced across display screens, Hannover Messe 2025 delivered once again on its reputation as the world’s leading industrial technology showcase. This year, Scanalytics had the distinct honor of joining the global conversation, representing Wisconsin’s spirit of innovation at the invitation—and with the generous support—of the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC).

A Global Kickoff: Leadership, Vision, and a Canadian Partnership

The week began on a high note at a VIP welcome event featuring a keynote from Roland Busch, CEO of Siemens. Joined by leaders from Germany and the 2025 official partner country, Canada, the keynote spotlighted how industrial transformation is accelerating across borders—and how collaboration is the real currency of progress.

Siemens’ Busch emphasized the intersection of digital transformation and sustainable industry, echoing a theme that resonated across every hall: the fusion of AI, automation, and clean energy isn’t just possible—it’s already here.

As we looked around the room filled with executives, policymakers, engineers, and entrepreneurs from five continents, we felt the momentum. Being in the same room as leaders shaping the future of industry reaffirmed our belief: Scanalytics’ presence—and our technology—matters on the global stage.

Wisconsin Goes Global

Scanalytics was proud to be one of several companies selected to represent the state as part of the Wisconsin delegation. Organized by WEDC, this cohort of innovators included businesses across sectors, all showcasing the ingenuity and advanced technology coming out of the Midwest.

One of the highlights of our trip was the chance to connect with Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers during a private breakfast and later at a formal dinner hosted by WEDC. These intimate settings offered space for thoughtful conversations about innovation, entrepreneurship, and how companies like Scanalytics are scaling globally.

We shared insights into how our smart floor sensing platform is being deployed across sectors—from commercial real estate to energy-efficient smart buildings—and how data from the ground up can drive real, measurable sustainability outcomes. The Governor’s interest in Wisconsin’s tech footprint abroad—and his presence in Hannover—reinforced the state’s commitment to being a player on the global innovation stage.

Bridging Minds: Printed Electronics, Sensors, and Deep Tech Dialogues

One of the most inspiring parts of Hannover Messe is the density of innovation packed into every interaction. Throughout the week, we met with European and North American researchers, PhDs, and companies working at the edge of material science and digital integration.

Our conversations with experts in printed electronics and sensor networks sparked immediate possibilities. Could our sensing systems integrate with ultra-thin, flexible substrates for next-gen smart flooring? What if localized pressure mapping could inform not just building management systems, but robotic learning models?

These weren’t just hypotheticals. They were real-time ideation sessions with R&D leaders who saw the potential in our data layer to add intelligence to physical spaces.

Automation and innovation dominated the landscape

Trends Defining Industry 4.0 (and 5.0)

Hannover Messe 2025 made it clear: the convergence of AI, automation, sustainability, and human-machine collaboration is not theoretical—it’s underway. Here are a few themes that stood out:

  • AI in Production: From generative design tools to real-time anomaly detection, artificial intelligence is being embedded at every level of manufacturing. Scanalytics’ predictive movement analytics fits naturally into this landscape, providing unique datasets for process optimization and space utilization.

  • Green Industrialization: Green hydrogen, energy optimization, and circular supply chains dominated conversations. Attendees weren’t asking if sustainability was viable—they were strategizing how to scale it. Our ability to provide real-time occupancy and behavioral insights makes us a valuable tool for reducing carbon footprints in smart buildings and factories.

  • Human-Machine Symbiosis: Robots weren’t just on display—they were interacting, collaborating, and even learning. In this future-forward vision, data from the physical environment is critical. Scanalytics’ platform is part of this emerging intelligence layer, enabling adaptive systems that understand space dynamically.

From Hannover to What’s Next

Hannover Messe was an important opportunity for Scanalytics to engage directly with global leaders in advanced manufacturing, sensors, and smart technologies. The conversations we had and the connections we made are meaningful as we serve our customers with the benefits of smart flooring.

Importantly, the event reaffirmed that the challenges we’re addressing—understanding movement and behavior in physical spaces—resonate globally. Whether the conversation was about sustainability, workforce efficiency, or data-driven operations, the relevance of our technology was clear.

Looking Ahead

We’re grateful to the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation for including us in this delegation. Their support made it possible for us—and other Wisconsin-based companies—to access one of the most influential industrial platforms in the world. WEDC’s focus on expanding Wisconsin’s global reach is not just valuable; it’s strategic.

To those we met at Hannover Messe—thank you. We’re continuing the conversations, exploring collaborations, and staying connected.

There’s more to come. And for Scanalytics, the Messe was a clear signal that our work isn’t just timely—it’s globally relevant.
