Solving Building Energy Management Issues at the 2022 ARPA-E Summit

Scanalytics will be present at the 2022 ARPA-E Summit, the premier event for institutions, organizations, and companies working to improve the efficiency of space and building energy management systems. The 2022 ARPA-E Summit will bring together high-potential technologies and startups alongside industry-leaders from a variety of energy sectors in private and public fields. Now in its twelfth year, the event is a can’t-miss for discussions, speakers, networking, and more.

“The ARPA-E Energy Innovation Summit is an annual conference and technology showcase that brings together experts from different technical disciplines and professional communities to think about America’s energy challenges in new and innovative ways.”

Scanalytics was awarded a $1.3M plus-up grant from the Department of Energy to scale our new building energy management solutions and optimize utility usage in buildings, driven by our floor sensor technology.

“The Department of Energy’s Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy (ARPA-E) advances high-potential, high-impact energy technologies that are too early for private-sector investment. ARPA-E awardees are unique because they are developing entirely new ways to generate, store, and use energy.”

With the support of ARPA-E, Scanalytics is improving current floor sensors and developing new technologies and a new operating system for building management controls. The system will tie together a variety of building management systems, and align them with traffic, usage, and occupancy analytics that are captured and tracked by our floor sensors and software.

The outcome is a system that helps buildings operate more inline with traffic and usage and less on standard settings and predictions. This provides an improvement in the efficiency of building systems like HVAC and lighting and operations like maintenance, cleaning, and other services.
